Abstract
A 43-year-old female patient developed sudden left hemiparesis. She didn¡¯t have any vascular risk factors except hypertension. She had taken prednisolone for cutaneous vasculitis. She was diagnosed as primary Sjogren¡¯s syndrome (PSS). Brain magnetic resonance imaging revealed an acute cerebral infarction at right basal ganglia with multiple white matter lesions. We reviewed all the previous reported cases with acute ischemic stroke in primary Sjogren¡¯s syndrome. In PSS, vasculitis may provoke white matter lesions and cerebral infarct of small vessel occlusion type.
